About

A world with no more razors, waxing or painful electrolysis! IPL hair removal offers a safe, fast and effective alternative to deal with unwanted hair. IPL hair removal is safe enough to be use on all body parts including the face, back, underarms, arms, bikini line and legs.

How does IPL Hair Removal works?

IPL works by emitting a spectrum of light that is passed through the skin and is preferentially absorbed by the melanin, or colour, in the hair follicles, damaging the follicles and destroying the hair roots. Lighter coloured hair may require more treatments than darker coloured hair.

What can I expect with the procedure?

Most people describe IPL treatment as a prickly sensation or like being hit by a light rubber band snap. You may not need any type of anaesthesia for your treatments. You should wear clothing that will allow easy access to the area being treated. IPL hair removal works best when the hair is 1 to 2 mm in length. No specific care is needed after the treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

Hair grows in a cycle that spans 6 to 12 weeks. This is the amount of time that it takes hair to grow from the base of the follicle to the surface of the skin. As a result of cyclical hair growth, only a portion of your hair is being treated at the optimal state at each IPL session. Initially, it is recommended that you undergo a series of four to eight treatments at four week intervals to treat all the hair. These treatments will be followed by a period of evaluation to determine how much and how fast the hair will regrow. Hair regrowth can then be treated during “touch-up” visits.

Are there any risks?

IPL hair removal has the benefit of being quick, safe and effective. It is unusual to develop any complications from this treatment.
